WERNER DIWALD

CEO and Shareholder

Werner Diwald is shareholder and CEO of the consulting company PtXSolutions GmbH. Before Mr. Diwald was mainly responsible for the business fields of Project Development and Political Affairs within the ENERTRAG Holding for more than 13 years. Since October 2008 he has been a member of the Management Board of ENERTRAG Holding and was responsible for the entire field of the international development of wind farm projects, technology development and plant engineering and construction in the field of hydrogen (electrolysis, hybrid power plant), as well as the aviation obstruction lighting for wind turbines.

After the successful completion of training as a certified technician he graduated in business management in 1995. Since than Werner has been active in the renewable energy sector. He thus has 18 years of professional experience in the field of the development of system components for wind turbines, the design of service concepts for construction and maintenance of wind turbines, as well as the development of wind farm projects for different companies.

Based on his activities, ENERTRAG was able in 2011 to successfully put into operation the first hybrid power plant. In 2011, he built up the ENERTRAG HyTec GmbH, today McPhy Energy Deutschland GmbH, which develops and manufactures electrolysers.

In addition, Mr. Diwald is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Brandenburg University of Technology, member of the Federal Expert Committee on Climate, Environment and Energy Policy of the CDU, member of the Federal Expert Commission on Energy Policy of the Economic Council Germany,  chairmen of the German Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (DWV e.V) an spokesman of the "performing energy" expert commission.

 

DR. GERD HARMS

Senior Consultant and Shareholder

Dr. Gerd Harms studied at the Free University Berlin and the Technical University Berlin. In 1985 he received his doctorate (Dr. phil.) at the Technical University Berlin.

Dr. Gerd Harms was appointed as State Secretary in Berlin from 1989 to 1990. From 1991 to 1998 he served as State Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Federal State of Brandenburg. In 1998 he was appointed as Minister in the government of Saxony-Anhalt. Until 2002, he was responsible for science and research policy, education and cultural policy in that state.

From 2003 he worked as a representative of the Prime Minister of Brandenburg for International Affairs and from 2004 to 2009 as Plenipotentiary of the State of Brandenburg to the Federal Government and for European Affairs in the State Chancellery. In this position, he served in the Committee of the Regions (CoR) in the European Union. Since 2003 Dr. Gerd Harms was German Chairman of the Committee for Cross-border Co-operation of the German-Polish Governmental Commission.

Since 2010, Dr. Gerd Harms worked as a political advisor to the board of the ENERTRAG AG. Since 2013 he is Partner and Senior Consultant at PtXSolutions GmbH.
Dr. Gerd Harms is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the bildungsmarkt-group, Deputy Chairman of the Development and Peace Foundation, Chairman of the Shaul and Hilde Robinsohn Foundation and Commissioner of the German Hydrogen Association for European Affairs.

 

Dennitsa Nozharova 

Senior Consultant

Dennitsa Nozharova holds a Master degree in Law. She worked as a lawyer for local and international law firms in Sofia from 1998 till 2008 with specialisation in energy, environmental and administrative law. Since 2008 she has been working as a manager of a German subsidiary company for development of wind power projects. Since 2013 she is a manager of the consultancy company Encon Energy EOOD, specialised in hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. She was involved in preparation of several studies for the opportunities, demand and market uptake of hydrogen, produced from renewable energies in various industry and energy sectors.
Since 2017 Dennitsa Nozharova has been working as an external consultant for the German Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (DWV) in numerous projects at European and national level.

 

 Dr. Benjamin Baur 

Assistant of the managing partner

Dr. Benjamin Baur studied at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen political science, public law and religious science. His main focus during his studies was the national and transnational energy- and security policy.

After his studies Dr. Benjamin Baur worked as a governmental advisor in Baden-Württemberg. Simultaneously he received a PhD (Dr. rer. soc.) at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen. His doctoral thesis was the foreign energy policy of the European Union.
